About Us

Another Contemporary Music Ensemble was founded in 2011 by composers Michael Cutting and Vitalija Glovackyte to present important European contemporary music to a UK audience. With a focus on careful programming and high-quality performances, the ensemble aims to create concerts that will engage, entertain and enlighten its listeners. The countries in focus concert series consists of programmes highlighting particular European contemporary cultures. This season includes the contemporary music of Hungary, Scandinavia and the Netherlands.

As well as promoting important living European composers, the ensemble is committed to supporting local young composers through performing and commissioning their works.

ACM Ensemble consists of recent graduates and current students from the Royal Northern College of Music, many of which already have national recognition through their own work. Along with some core players, we have the benefit of being able to call on other talented
musicians to create a varied range of programs.
